I founded the Northern Autism Network in 2011, with the intention of cultivating a community-led peer group, dedicated to fostering inclusivity and support for Autistic and Allistic parents of Autistic children. Our networks primary mission is to create safe, respectful and neuro-inclusive spaces for seeking guidance, sharing insights and offering mutual support grounded in the Intentional Peer Support (IPS) model for 1,000+ families in Melbourne’s North.
My intention for the future includes succession planning for the Northern Autism Network to bolster capacity for the dedicated volunteers and families that are part of my Autistic community.
Across my other professional roles, I’m passionate about continuing my work in systemic advocacy whilst co-designing spaces for neurokin that are safe, welcoming and respectful (including mainstream education settings and workplaces).
I look forward to building on my work in Melbourne’s North, whilst my family and I transition into a new community in the Macedon Ranges, as we move out of mainstream education and into an inclusive Future Focused Education model at Global Village Learning (New Gisborne).
